1. Automobiles

GMAW process using Argoshield gas mixtures is now extensively used in the Automobile sector. Major applications include

  • Two wheelers - frames, petrol tanks, mufflers etc.
  • Auto components - seat frame, axle assembly, suspension and chassis assembly etc.
    ( See case study 1)
  • LCV'S/MCVS - under frames, front cowl etc.
  • Bus and truck bodies

In addition there is some use of Specshield and Stainshield mixtures for

  • MIG brazing of auto body components
  • GTAW of stainless steel components

2. General Fabrication

GMAW is the major process used in the engineering and construction sector for fabrication. The FCAW process is also used for heavier sections. Our Argoshield mixtures are used to advantage in various applications that include

4. Earth-moving equipment
